ICF and LICA Membership

The Long Island Coaching Alliance (LICA) is the local chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF) for Long Island, New York.

If you are a member of the ICF and have designated Long Island, NY, USA as your “local chapter,” you are already a member of LICA.

If you are not a member of the ICF, we highly encourage you to become a member to access the myriad benefits and research they offer you as a professional coach.

LICA Activity Paid Membership

As a participant in LICA’s meetings and other activities, you are encouraged to officially join us as an Activity Paid Member by paying an annual activity fee of $75.

By doing so, you are making a statement that you are an active member of the Long Island professional coaching community, that you are invested in the development of coaching as a profession, and that you are committed to building your own professional coaching practice.

Benefits of LICA Membership

• Connecting, networking, and fellowship  with other coaches: associating with other coaches helps one build one's business.
• Interesting programs at meetings that offer CCEU's: enjoy educational programs that will inspire you. If you're already ICF certified, or ever decide to become certified, you can apply these credits toward required continuing education or ever decide to become certified, you can apply these credits toward required continuing education or certification.
• Free advertising of your upcoming events on website and via press releases: reach more potential clients by advertising through LICA's PR network. ."Advertising of an event on the website requires 60 days notice. Advertising of an event to the media requires 90 days notice."
• Opportunity to post bio on LICA website (for additional fee); every potential client that visits the LICA website will know who you and  what you do.
• Annual Member's Only Retreat: enjoy a time of rest, relaxation, and renewal with fellow LICA coaches.
• Member's Only Forum: Have a question you'd like answered by a coach? Participate in an online discussion with fellow LICA coaches: www.licoachingalliance.org
• Coaching Circle: be a part of a circle of coaches for a twelve week rotation of coaching and being coached.  Since this qualifies as barter, these coaching hours may be used toward certification requirements.
• Accountability Partner Program: Give and receive support by connecting with a fellow coach on a regular basis and serving as Accountability Partners for one and other to make sure you both stay on track in reaching your professional goals.

As we grow as a profession and as an ICF Chapter, the benefits that will be available to our Activity Paid Members will grow as well.
